Martin Chrien is joining FK Železiarne Podbrezová after spending four years at Ružomberok. Chrien stated that he quickly came to an agreement with Podbrezová during the season and enjoyed his vacation without worry. He wanted to join a team that plays the style of football for which Podbrezová is known and is happy to be close to home.

Both MFK Ružomberok and FK Železiarne Podbrezová announced on their social media that Slovakian centre-forward Martin Chrien, 30, is moving from MFK Ružomberok to FK Železiarne Podbrezová within the Niké liga. Chrien has one cap and one goal for Slovakia, and his current market value is €200k, according to Transfermarkt.
