Roma is searching for a winger for manager Gian Piero Gasperini and is now focusing on Martial Godo of Strasbourg. The club's focus changed after another target, Crysencio Summerville of West Ham, became a less viable option. Summerville's viability decreased after a strong World Cup performance increased both his transfer valuation and his wage demands. This has led Roma to pursue Godo, a 23-year-old Ivorian winger who was born in London and came through the Fulham academy. He has earned one cap for Ivory Coast, scoring one goal.
