Serbian international Marko Ivezic has permanently signed with Hibernian Edinburgh from German side Holstein Kiel, subject to international clearance and visa approval. Ivezic's contract with Holstein Kiel was due to expire at the end of the season. The signing was announced by Hibernian FC on their official Twitter account on September 2, 2026.

According to a report from Rudy Galetti, MLS clubs have shown concrete interest in Marko Ivezic.

Marko Ivezic, who has been playing for Holstein Kiel since summer 2023 and is contracted until 2027, might leave soon. His agent, Bojan Ostojic, mentioned to Russian media that with a 90% chance of Kiel being relegated, Ivezic does not intend to play in a lower league again. He will have options in the summer, although specific clubs were not disclosed. Currently, Transfermarkt estimates his market worth at 2.50 million euros.
