Mark Diemers, a 32-year-old Dutch central midfielder, is reportedly very close to rejoining De Graafschap, seemingly prevailing over his other former clubs FC Emmen and Fortuna Sittard, who were also said to have been interested in his return. Sources within the Doetinchem club have confirmed that an agreement has been reached following very difficult negotiations. Diemers, who has been without a club since July 2026, commented that while a return is certainly possible, it is not yet completely final, even though he is reportedly preparing for a medical on Wednesday.
