Mark Diemers, a 32-year-old Dutch central midfielder, is nearing a return to De Graafschap. De Graafschap appears set to secure the return of their former player ahead of other old clubs, FC Emmen and Fortuna Sittard, who were also reportedly interested. Sources within the Doetinchem club have confirmed the move, and an agreement was reached after very difficult negotiations. Diemers, who has recently been maintaining his fitness at FC Emmen, is reportedly scheduled for a medical on Wednesday. The player himself has said that while the chance of him returning is certainly present, it is not yet completely final. Diemers has been without a club since July 2026 and has a market value of €600k, according to Transfermarkt.
