Mariusz Fornalczyk Transfer from Korona Kielce to Chicago Fire
In April, Chicago Fire, a Major League Soccer team, offered two million euros for Mariusz Fornalczyk. Jacek Zieliński, the coach, commented that while the offer involved significant money, it was not the right direction for Fornalczyk. The club's management persuaded Fornalczyk to stay until the end of the season. Zieliński believes that after the European Under-21 Championship, Fornalczyk will move to a stronger team.
Korona Kielce has rejected a financially better offer from the American team, Chicago Fire, for Mariusz Fornalczyk, aiming to persuade the player to agree to a more lucrative contract and to enhance their chances of securing a higher transfer fee.
Łukasz Maciejczyk, the owner of Korona Kielce, disclosed during an interview on Canal+ that the club had received an offer close to two million euros for Mariusz Fornalczyk. Szymon Janczyk from Weszlo.com verified that the offer came from Chicago Fire. Nevertheless, following discussions with Fornalczyk's agent and the player himself, a decision was reached for him to remain at Korona Kielce until at least the end of the season. In addition to Chicago Fire, Mariusz Fornalczyk has garnered interest from sc Heerenveen, whose scouts have been monitoring his performances in matches. Despite the interest, Korona Kielce is not rushing to sell their star player, as they expect his value might increase further if he takes part in the upcoming UEFA European Under-21 Championship. Moreover, Korona Kielce is contemplating renegotiating his contract to remove the current buyout clause, which is set at 1.5 million euros, in order to potentially secure more favorable terms in the future.
