Galatasaray has activated the contract extension option for 32-year-old Gabonese defensive midfielder Mario Lemina, a few weeks before the original contract was due to expire in June 2026. The extension is for an additional season. Lemina has 43 caps and 5 goals for Gabon. He joined Galatasaray in February 2025 from Wolverhampton for a €2.5 million fee. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €5.00m. It was reported that in June 2025, Galatasaray was open to offers up to €10 million.
