Milan's 26-year-old Spanish defender Mario Gila revealed that Inter was one of several clubs interested in him. The former Lazio player confirmed that Napoli and Atalanta were also pursuing him. Gila explained that he chose Milan because he felt that it is not possible to decline an offer from a club with such a significant history, adding that he wanted to help the Rossoneri return to a top level. Gila, who has yet to be capped by Spain, joined Milan in July 2026 on a contract that runs until 2031 and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €30.00m.
