According to Kicker, Union Berlin informed Marin Ljubičić that he is required to spend the second half of the season on loan.

As reported by BILD, striker Marin Ljubicic currently has no future with the Eisernen, and Union is aiming for a loan for the Croatian. Heldt explained that things have not gone as the player imagined. He stated this was already an issue in the summer, when they told him that it makes sense to gain match practice elsewhere. Heldt added that this is a topic that they will certainly address. There are already preliminary talks with interested parties, and the club has to see that he gets playing time, which will surely be the case in January.

According to Bild, Union Berlin is interested in selling or loaning Marin Ljubicic. The player has not participated in any competitive matches this season and has often been left out of the squad. Due to competition from seven offensive players, Ljubicic's chances for playing time are now almost non-existent. His contract is valid until 2028.

Marin Ljubicic, signed in February, might leave as he was not included in the squad for the Dortmund match.
