Marcelo Flores leaving Tigres UANL?

According to The Athletic del New York Times, Canada will seek to call up Marcelo Flores, a 22-year-old Mexican-Canadian winger with Tigres, for the next FIFA international break. The purpose of the call-up would be for him to participate as a training player in the November matches, with Ecuador being one of the rivals. Flores is in agreement with this call-up due to a lack of invitations from Javier Aguirre's Mexico national team. The Athletic also mentioned that although Flores has played for the Mexico national team three times, he could still be part of the team managed by Jesse Marsch, following FIFA rules for players with dual nationality. The final decision to participate with Canada in the upcoming international fixtures belongs exclusively to Marcelo Flores. Flores joined Tigres in September 2023 and is under contract until June 2027. In the current Liga MX Apertura season, he has made 4 appearances and scored 1 goal. His market value is estimated to be €1.20m by Transfermarkt.
