Fortuna Düsseldorf's Klaus Allofs is not considering bringing back Marcel Sobottka, who became a free agent after the club did not offer him a new contract in the summer, which concluded his ten-year period there. Sobottka is currently maintaining his fitness with the U23 side at his youth club, Schalke 04. Allofs admitted that the club's plan to move on from the player had not been entirely successful. Despite this, and the fact that a return on a performance-based contract would be financially possible, Allofs has ruled out a transfer. He prefers to rely on the current squad, which is planned to be strengthened in other areas during the winter.
