According to Przegląd Sportowy, Widzew Łódź does not intend to extend Marcel Krajewski's contract. The contract expires in June of the following year. It is possible that Marcel Krajewski will be sold, as this will be the last opportunity.

According to 'Przegląd Sportowy Onet', there are major doubts at the club regarding the extension of Marcel Krajewski's contract. Łukasz Masłowski stated that a period is in progress during which he is observing the player regarding the direction the player wants to go. Masłowski described him as a young Polish player with potential for further development, but noted that a willingness for this must exist on both sides. He added that if this willingness exists, they will do everything to extend the contract and that Marcel is certainly aware that he is also competing for this new contract. The contract of the player, who is almost 22 years old, expires in June 2027. 'Przegląd Sportowy Onet' reports that, based on its information, it is more likely that Widzew will not extend his deal, although this is not certain.

Marcel Krajewski stated in an interview with TVP Sport that in the near future he would like to leave Poland and play in a foreign league.

During the transfer of 21-year-old Polish right-back Marcel Krajewski to Widzew, Legia Warsaw secured an option to buy back the player for 700,000 PLN. During a transaction involving Kapuadi, the two clubs agreed that the clause with the buyout amount for Krajewski would be removed. The profit percentage from the next transfer was reduced from 50 to 30 percent. Marcel Krajewski is to remain at Widzew for the time being. The Poland U21 international, who joined the club in July 2024, has a contract until June 2027. His Transfermarkt market value is €1.00m. In the 2025/2026 Ekstraklasa season, he has provided 3 assists in 18 appearances.
