Marcel Krajewski Transfer from Widzew Lodz to Legia Warszawa
Piotr Burlikowski confirmed on Kanale Sportowym that Legia Warszawa has an option to buy Marcel Krajewski. Burlikowski stated that for the transfer to happen, Marcel would need to agree to the move. He also mentioned that the operation would not be simple to finalize and that Widzew Łódź has a certain security option. Burlikowski added that Widzew Łódź is very satisfied with Marcel Krajewski and believes he has a future at the club.
Journalist Tomasz Włodarczyk, speaking on the "Let's Talk About Football" program on the Meczyki channel, provided details on a clause for Marcel Krajewski's return to Legia Warsaw from Widzew. Włodarczyk said that Legia would be required to pay 1.5 million euros to bring the player back. According to Włodarczyk, the amount seems somewhat high at present, but he suggested that someone might consider paying it in the summer transfer window if Krajewski develops at Widzew and in the youth national team. He also noted that Paweł Wszołek's age could be a factor in a potential decision.
According to Tomasz Włodarczyk, Legia Warszawa has an option to buy Marcel Krajewski for approximately 1.5 million euro. Payment of this sum would activate the option. Legia Warszawa had previously released Krajewski in 2024, at which time they secured the buy-back option.
Legia Warszawa obtained a buy-back option for Marcel Krajewski, a 20-year-old defender and an academy graduate, when he was transferred to Widzew Łódź. It is suggested that if the Polish youth international maintains his current impressive form, the club's management will give serious consideration to exercising this clause. Krajewski's contract with Widzew Łódź expires on June 30, 2027. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €500k.
