Liverpool could have an opportunity to sign defender Marc Guéhi should Manchester City face relegation as a potential punishment for financial rule breaches. Guéhi joined City from Crystal Palace in January 2026 for approximately £20m and was previously a target for the Reds, who nearly signed him in the summer of 2025. The centre-back has earned 39 caps for England and his contract at Manchester City runs until 2031.
