Sassuolo is renewing its attempt to sign 32-year-old Italian right-back Manuel Lazzari to strengthen the wide positions for Grosso's squad. The club had previously shown interest in the summer, but talks were stopped because Lazio's transfer market was blocked. Lazio is now able to operate in the market but has a focus on departures, which could allow for the transfer to become possible again. According to Repubblica, a transfer is being considered because of Lazzari's limited use under Sarri. The publication reports he has made only 12 appearances, with just 4 as a starter, for a total of 392 minutes, and that his contract expires on June 30, 2027. Lazzari, who has been capped three times for Italy, joined Lazio in July 2019. He has no goals or assists in Serie A this season and has a current market value on Transfermarkt of €2.50m.
