Spanish offensive midfielder Manu Vallejo, 28, is on trial with Mjällby for a week during the club's training camp in Portugal. Vallejo, who has previously played for clubs including Girona and Real Zaragoza, has Champions League experience from his time at Valencia. He recently terminated his contract with Ceuta in the Spanish third division. According to Mjällby's press manager, James Wahlberg, the player did not enjoy his time at Ceuta and is looking to find a club abroad. Wahlberg also described Vallejo as a very technical and offensive player. Vallejo has been capped three times for Spain's U21 national team. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €300k.
