Nice has a significant interest in RC Lens' Malian midfielder Mamadou Sangaré, viewing him as a way to reinforce their midfield with a player already adapted to the French league. The club has significant competition for the 23-year-old, as other teams are also monitoring him. Liverpool is interested in the player, while Africafoot has revealed that Chelsea is also among the interested clubs. RC Lens, however, is not currently planning to sell Sangaré, who is under contract until 2030, and would require at least €50 million to start negotiations. At present, all interested parties, including Nice, are observing the situation, and no official offers have been made to Lens. The Malian international, who has 15 caps for his country, joined Lens from Rapid Vienna in August 2025 for a reported €8 million and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €30.00m. Earlier in 2026, Chelsea was reportedly considering a €45 million bid in March, while Manchester United was reportedly willing to pay up to €40 million in February.
