Liverpool are understood to be considering Lens' 23-year-old Malian international midfielder Mamadou Sangare as one of four potential targets to strengthen their midfield for new manager Arne Slot. The club is reportedly seeking to add energy and dynamism. Sangare is viewed as a player who can provide the tenacity and forward drive required by the manager's system. Sangare and Lamine Camara, a fellow Ligue 1 player from Monaco, have impressed Liverpool scouts. Sangare joined Lens in August 2025 and is under contract until 2030.
