Al Ahly is interested in signing Mauritanian international striker Mamadou Diallo, who is currently a forward for CSKA 1948 and one of the Bulgarian league's top performers this season. The Cairo-based club reportedly made an initial offer of around $300,000 for the player's contract. This was considered insufficient by CSKA 1948's management, given the attacker's sporting performance and his status as the league's leading goalscorer. In response, Al Ahly officials increased their bid to nearly $500,000. While Diallo's 11 goals in 18 matches have attracted interest from several clubs, Al Ahly seems to be the most advanced in the process. Mamadou Diallo is under contract with CSKA 1948 until 2028, and with the Bulgarian club aware of his value, negotiations are expected to remain open as discussions intensify in the coming weeks. The 29-year-old forward, who also holds French citizenship, joined CSKA 1948 in July 2025. In addition to his goals, he has registered three assists this season, has been capped four times by Mauritania, and has a current market value of €900k according to Transfermarkt.
