A seven-figure bid from Hearts for defender Malachi Fagan-Walcott has been accepted by York City. The defender, however, has not yet agreed to personal terms. Oxford United are also interested in Fagan-Walcott, but their chances are considered minimal.

York City's 24-year-old centre-back, Malachi Fagan-Walcott, who holds both English and Barbadian citizenship, is the subject of interest from Oxford United and other League One clubs. Scottish Premiership side Hearts has also shown interest in the defender. Football Insider revealed that Hearts submitted a £750,000 bid for him. According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, York City have rejected the offer from the Scottish club. Fagan-Walcott joined York City in January 2025 and his contract is valid until June 2029.
