Red Bull Salzburg announced an early contract extension with captain Mads Bidstrup, whose deal was originally set to run until summer 2028 but has now been extended by another year to 2029. The club's managing director, Stephan Reiter, was quoted on the club website emphasizing Bidstrup's importance to the team and the club. Bidstrup stated that he feels extremely comfortable in Salzburg and takes his leadership role very seriously. He also expressed his happiness about the contract extension and his intention to set an example for the fans.
RB Salzburg succeeded in extending the contract with Mads Bidstrup, a 24-year-old Danish midfielder. The captain of the Austrian top club signed a new contract, which is dated until 2029. The former Brentford player, who joined Salzburg for a reported €6 million fee, has a career-high market value estimated by Transfermarkt at €15 million. Nottingham Forest has previously been linked with a move for the player.
