Polish goalkeeper Maciej Gostomski has joined Stal Mielec after not being included in the first-team plans of coach Mariusz Misiura at Wisła Płock for the season. While the experienced goalkeeper was mainly linked with first-league teams, he accepted an offer from Stal Mielec. The move was finalized after he successfully passed medical tests, leading to the 37-year-old signing a contract with his new club until June 30, 2026. An official statement confirmed the transfer and noted that his most recent club was Wisła Płock. Gostomski had joined Wisla Plock II on 13/09/2025 and made one appearance in the Betclic 3 Liga - Group I in the 2025/2026 season.
