Slovenian forward Luka Mlakar will be on loan at Tabor Sežana in the second Slovenian league for this season, having been sent by Maribor. The 20-year-old attacker's preparation was disrupted by injury issues. For this reason, Maribor's head coach Darko Milanič was not seriously counting on him, having more experienced forwards available. Maribor opted not to loan the player to Ilirija, a club they have collaborated with for two seasons, choosing Tabor instead. Mlakar has represented Slovenia in youth teams up to the U21 level. The loan will last until the end of the current season. As a teenager, Mlakar moved from Domžal to Roma. He joined Maribor in January 2026, with a contract valid until May 2028. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €150k.
