The club has been interested since late June, but they were unable to agree on a transfer fee at that time. Sassuolo is still keeping an eye on Cherubini's situation while Roma's new coach, Gian Piero Gasperini, assesses him. Cherubini, who recently played against Everton, is currently under observation. The forward, born in 2004, had a successful season in Serie B with Carrarese, where he scored three goals in 34 appearances.
