According to Fabrizio Romano, Corinthians attempted to sign Lucas Verissimo, but Santos signed the player.

Lucas Veríssimo denied rumors about returning to Corinthians, a club he played for in 2023 on loan from Benfica. The permanent move did not happen, and he joined Al Duhail instead. He stated that the recent rumors were false and he is happy and settled in Qatar with his family, having no intention to leave at the moment.
