Following their qualification for the third qualifying round of the Champions League, Qarabag has entered the competition to sign Lucas Ventura, a 27-year-old Brazilian defensive midfielder. They are prepared to make a significant offer to both Hapoel Be'er Sheva, who are in need of selling some of their key players due to their early exit from European competitions, and Ventura. It is reported that Ventura is keen to leave Israel and is unlikely to join Maccabi Tel Aviv, despite their interest in him. Qarabag is aiming to finalize the deal within a few hours as they gear up for their forthcoming matches against North Macedonian club Shkendija. Ventura is currently contracted with Hapoel Be'er Sheva until June 2027, and his market value is estimated at €1.40m according to Transfermarkt.
