Cádiz manager Sergio González is interested in bringing Lucas Pérez back to the club to address their goal-scoring problems. Pérez previously left Cádiz in 2023, when they were in Primera División, to join Deportivo, who were in Primera Federación at the time. He later departed Deportivo abruptly midway through last season, finishing the campaign at PSV. His time there was shortened by a case of tuberculosis, which limited him to only three appearances. The forward has not played an official match since March 15, 2025, but has reportedly been training with different teams to maintain his fitness.
