FC Botoșani has signed 26-year-old central midfielder Lucas de Vega Lima on a two-and-a-half-year contract. The Brazilian-Spanish player joined as a free agent. He was part of Barcelona's youth system where he won the UEFA Youth League with the U19 team. His move came after his contract with Lithuanian club Panevezys concluded, with whom he won the Lithuanian Cup. Before his time in Lithuania, de Vega also played for Spanish teams FC Cartagena and Atletico Baleares. The Romanian club confirmed the transfer on its official website. De Vega has previously represented Brazil at the U17 level. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €350k.
