German goalkeeper Luca Unbehaun, aged 25, has moved to Hansa Rostock from FC Emmen, a Dutch second-division club. Unbehaun was the starting goalkeeper at FC Emmen for two years. He is expected to become the new number one at Hansa, completing the club's goalkeeper duo for the new season. Unbehaun said that the discussions with the club had been clear and convincing from the start, giving him a feeling that he could develop professionally and assume responsibility. Hansa's sporting director, Amir Shapourzadeh, described Unbehaun as a modern goalkeeper who received top-level training at Borussia Dortmund. Shapourzadeh added that the team considers the player's strong game comprehension, decision-making, penalty area presence, and ball distribution skills to be important prerequisites. He also stated that Unbehaun's experience and potential make him suitable for a leading role. In the 2025/26 season, Unbehaun played in 36 matches in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. His market value is currently listed as €350k by Transfermarkt.
