Tuttomercato reported that Palermo's sporting director, Carlo Osti, had identified Luca Mazzitelli of Como as a target to strengthen the squad. The move was not completed because Gyasi's transfer did not occur, which prevented an outgoing slot from being created.

Tuttomercato reports that Como's 30-year-old Italian midfielder, Luca Mazzitelli, is searching for a new club. A potential transfer to Palermo was not completed in recent days. The player is actively searching for a new club and is present at the Sheraton hotel, a base for the final days of the transfer market. He could rescind his contract if a new team is not found. Mazzitelli has been capped seven times for the Italy U21 team. He joined Como in July 2025 and has a contract that runs until June 2027. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.20m. Cagliari has also been linked with him.
