Although Luca Kjerrumgaard is contracted to Udinese, he is technically obliged to join Watford as part of the agreement from his transfer from OB in Denmark last summer. The relationship between the clubs allows for some flexibility, and his future, along with the futures of fellow Udinese players Saba Goglichidze and James Abankwah, is still under discussion while the squad is being formed. Currently, all three players are scheduled to return to Italy for pre-season.
