Luton Town are planning to make another attempt to sign Barnsley's Irish captain Luca Connell this summer, after an unsuccessful bid in the winter window. The 25-year-old midfielder, who joined the club in July 2022 and has a year left on his contract, could be sold as Barnsley are in a difficult financial position and may seek to sell one of their main assets. In addition to Luton's interest, some Championship clubs have also been monitoring Connell's performances. The former Ireland U21 international has a current market value of €800k, according to Transfermarkt.
