Young Croatian Centre-Back Lovro Goliç has been loaned from KV Mechelen to Helmond Sport for the remainder of the season. Goliç, who joined Mechelen from AS Roma's youth academy last year, did not play for the first team due to competition in defence, instead playing for Jong KV Mechelen. The move to the Keuken Kampioen Divisie is intended to give him more experience in professional football. Mechelen's sporting director, Tom Caluwé, stated that the loan is a crucial next step in the development of Goliç, who he believes has a lot of potential and needs to accumulate playing time to progress. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €300k.
