Atlético-MG has arranged the transfer of 20-year-old Brazilian forward Lucas Louback to Al Wasl, a first-division club in the United Arab Emirates. Although the player's contract with the club from Minas Gerais was due to expire at the end of the year, a deal was reached for his immediate departure. As part of the agreement, Atlético will receive financial compensation and retain 30% of the player's economic rights. Louback traveled to the Emirates early on Tuesday to complete the transfer. Another club, Alverca from Portugal, had also made an offer, under which Atlético would have kept 20% of his rights but received no fee. The Portuguese club withdrew their proposal due to the player's indecision.
