Fiorentina has offered Lorenzo Amatucci, a 22-year-old Italian defensive midfielder, to Sassuolo as part of ongoing discussions for midfielder Kristian Thorstvedt. Sassuolo values Thorstvedt at €15 million. Amatucci was proposed as a component to reduce the cash portion of the transfer fee, according to La Nazione. Fiorentina's valuation of Amatucci is approximately €5 million. A meeting has occurred between the two clubs, but it was only for an update and did not result in the negotiations progressing more quickly. Amatucci joined Fiorentina in July 2023 and has a contract until 2028. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €8.00m. Deportivo La Coruña, Torino, and Las Palmas have also been linked with him. Reports in July 2026 indicated that Deportivo proposed a loan with a purchase option of €2 million, at a time when Fiorentina's reported asking price was between €3.5 million and €4 million.
