The club announced the signing of Loizu on social media. Loizu stated that he is very happy to have signed for such a big club and that playing and fighting for Red Star Belgrade is a great honor for him. He added that the main desire for everyone is to constantly win and to secure trophies. Loizu also said his choice of Red Star Belgrade was because it is a big club on a global scale, and because he wants to compete with big teams at the highest level and fight for victory in every match.

Media from Cyprus report that Loizos Loizu has reached an agreement with the Serbian champions and is expected to be officially presented at the 'Rajko Mitić' stadium. The same sources state that Loizu signed a four-year contract with Red Star Belgrade following a three-day stay in Belgrade. Red Star Belgrade will pay a total of 3.5 million euros for the transfer of the Hapoel Tel Aviv player. Of this amount, three million euros will go to the Israeli club as a buyout clause, and an additional 500,000 euros will be paid to Omonia Nicosia based on previously defined terms. It is also stated that Hapoel will retain 10 percent of any future transfer of Loizos Loizu, and that Omonia secured an additional three percent from a future sale.
