Fabrizio Romano first reported that 19-year-old Croatian defender Ljubo Puljić will move from Bayern to Atalanta. This transfer follows his move to the German club from Osijek three years prior for a reported €2.8 million. According to Romano, Puljić will sign a 4+1 contract with his new team, although the Italian journalist did not disclose the transfer fee Atalanta will pay for the player. Puljić has 14 caps and 2 goals for the Croatia U19 team. In the 2025/2026 season, he made 15 appearances for Bayern's second team in the Regionalliga Bayern.
