Liberato Cacace Transfer from Empoli to Pisa

Liberato Cacace, a versatile left-sided New Zealand player born in 2000, remains under contract with Empoli until 2026. Despite Empoli's relegation to Serie B, Cacace impressed with a strong season, making 33 Serie A appearances and contributing 2 goals and 4 assists. Pisa has shown interest in him as part of their ongoing market activities. Empoli appears open to selling him, but Pisa is not hastening the process or significantly increasing their offer. Alongside Pisa, both Cagliari and Roma have expressed interest in acquiring Cacace, underscoring his appeal in the transfer market. Additionally, Besiktas had reportedly expressed keen interest in the player back in January. Cacace's versatility, allowing him to play in various positions such as left-back, winger, attacking midfielder, and even as a left-sided center-back in a three-man defense, makes him an attractive option for these clubs. Pisa's interest is particularly notable as they look for a replacement for Sernicola, who is likely to return to Cremonese. Meanwhile, Pisa has recently received a financial boost of approximately 900,000 euros from Palermo, which could influence their transfer strategies.
