Henderson is a 29-year-old Scottish centre back for Falkirk. Scouts from both clubs observed the defender during the final weeks of the Scottish Premier League season and were impressed by his performances. It is also suggested that United's interest in Henderson developed from their initial scouting of his Falkirk teammate, Barney Stewart.
