Mario Aiello, Avellino's sporting director, has submitted an official offer to Sion for Liam Chipperfield, a 22-year-old Swiss central midfielder, as Avellino seeks to add an attacking midfielder to its squad. The proposal for the player, who was born in 2004, follows a period of evaluation. Aiello decided to proceed with a formal bid after exploring several other options in recent weeks. Chipperfield is a product of Basel's youth system and has made 99 professional appearances for Sion.
