Lewis Gillie Transfer from Hibernian U19 to Arbroath
Scottish teenage defender Lewis Gillie, 17, joined Arbroath from Hibernian on a co-operation loan last week to gain additional senior experience. Gillie, who is left-sided and can play at centre-back, left-back, and left-wingback, had previously made his senior debut for Hibs in a Scottish Cup match last January. Before his move, the youth player had been involved in first-team training and was on the bench for a number of fixtures. He is now expected to be given an opportunity at Arbroath under David Gold and Colin Hamilton. The Scotland U17 international, for whom he has 4 caps, had not made a first-team appearance in the Scottish Premiership for Hibernian this season.
