Leonidas Stergiou, a 24-year-old Swiss-Greek player, is permitted to depart VfB Stuttgart this summer. His former club, FC St. Gallen, is reportedly a potential destination for the defensive player. Stergiou first joined Stuttgart from St. Gallen on loan in 2023 and was permanently signed a year later for a fee of two million euros. The Swiss international, who has been capped six times, was unable to secure a regular spot at VfB, partly due to injuries, and spent the second half of last season on loan at 1. FC Heidenheim, where he made five competitive appearances. His contract with Stuttgart is valid until June 2028, and his current Transfermarkt valuation is €2.50m.
