Leon Opitz Transfer from SV Werder Bremen to Holstein Kiel

Bild has reported that Holstein Kiel is showing a strong interest in acquiring Leon Opitz from Werder Bremen. The club is hopeful for a transfer, given Opitz's impressive performance in the Regionalliga Nord, where he scored 16 goals in 26 games for Werder's U23 team. Peter Niemeyer, Werder's professional head, acknowledged Opitz's growth and stated that they would evaluate his role in the first team during the pre-season under the new coach, Horst Steffen. Opitz's decision is likely to depend on where he perceives the most playing time, as Holstein Kiel might offer less competition compared to Werder Bremen.

Leon Opitz is being considered for a loan move to Holstein Kiel for the upcoming season. The club has expressed its interest to both the player and Werder Bremen. KSV-Trainer Marcel Rapp is keen to bring the 20-year-old into his team. Werder Bremen, with confirmation from their sports director Clemens Fritz, is open to loaning Opitz for a season to allow him to gain higher-level match experience.
