Leo Román leaving Mallorca?

Marca reports on Leo Román's ongoing contract renewal discussions with Mallorca. Leo Román is in discussions with Mallorca for a contract renewal. Previously, he seemed set to leave, but now he is open to staying if offered a fair contract for his level. His contract ends on June 30, 2026. Several LaLiga clubs have shown interest but haven't made formal offers due to Mallorca's demand of at least seven million euros. Espanyol is one of the clubs interested, but past complex negotiations for another player, Sergi Darder, might complicate this transfer.

Leo Román is a real option for RCD Espanyol to replace Joan Garcia, but his price is considered prohibitive. Mallorca might accept an offer of six or seven million euros, but Espanyol has never exceeded four million euros for Roberto Fernández, whose purchase option expired on June 1.

RCD Espanyol is interested in Leo Román as a potential replacement for Joan Garcia. Román is unhappy with his role as a substitute for Dominik Greif at Mallorca. His contract runs until June 2026 with a release clause of over 10 million euros. Espanyol finds this amount unaffordable but negotiable, as this summer is the last opportunity for Mallorca to profit from Román, who does not intend to renew his contract. Currently, Transfermarkt estimates his market worth at 2.50 million euros.
