Leo Castledine leaving Chelsea U21?

According to The Athletic, Championship clubs including Watford and Bristol City are attentive to the situation as Chelsea attacking midfielder Leo Castledine could be sold. The 20-year-old has scored 12 goals in 27 appearances on loan at Huddersfield, has a January break clause in his deal, and is out of contract in the summer.

The Athletic reports that four Championship clubs are interested in signing Leo Castledine this month. Leo Castledine's loan to Huddersfield Town contains a break clause that Chelsea may trigger to facilitate a move for him to a higher league.

There is no indication parent club Chelsea want to sell the 20-year-old, but they might reassign him to a Championship club to increase his challenge. A loan for Castledine is considered a sensible option for teams seeking an attacking player and unwilling to spend too much.

Leo Castledine could be recalled to Chelsea in January.

There is also interest from clubs in the English Championship for Leo Castledine.

Leo Castledine has been earmarked for a loan move.
