Austria's Sporting Director Manuel Ortlechner praised Lee's football skills and personal qualities, noting his strong left foot and his readiness to play as a wingback.

Tae-seok Lee, a versatile 22-year-old left-back who can also operate on the right side of defense, is reportedly on the verge of transferring to FK Austria Wien. Having joined the Pohang Steelers in the summer of 2024, Lee previously played for FC Seoul. With over 100 appearances in South Korea's top league and experience in the AFC Champions League, Lee has also represented South Korea internationally seven times. Reports from 'Heute' and 'Kronen Zeitung' indicate that Austria Wien is showing substantial interest in acquiring Lee, with expectations of his arrival in Vienna early next week. Transfermarkt lists the player's current market value at €750,000.
