Lazar Jovanović leaving VfB Stuttgart?
The loan deal for Lazar Jovanovic to his former club Red Star Belgrade for the second half of the season has been cancelled. According to 'Bild', the 19-year-old returned to VfB Stuttgart with an injury from the winter break, which is why the already agreed transfer was cancelled.
According to B92, Lazar Jovanović is expected to soon join Red Star Belgrade on loan from Stuttgart.
According to the Serbian newspaper 'Sportinjo Informer', a capital club sees an opportunity with a top talent who plays almost no role at VfB. The newspaper's report states that a loan deal is planned for the winter.
Bild reports that 18-year-old Serbian winger Lazar Jovanovic may be allowed to leave VfB Stuttgart on loan in the winter, and that the club would prefer to loan him within Germany so he can continue to adapt to football in the country. Jovanovic joined VfB Stuttgart in the summer for five million euros from Red Star Belgrade and has made only three short appearances so far. As a non-EU player, Jovanovic is not allowed to gain match practice with the second team in the third division. His contract with the club runs until June 2029, and he has one goal in four appearances for the Serbia U21 national team.
