According to Kicker, the plan to loan out Lasse Rieß in the new season to gain match practice could change due to new developments concerning Daniel Batz.
Mainz 05 plans to loan out goalkeeper Lasse Rieß to gain more playing experience in the upcoming season. The 23-year-old is currently the second-choice goalkeeper behind Robin Zentner and has only played twice for Mainz's second team in the Regionalliga Südwest this season. Daniel Batz is expected to take over as Zentner's backup if Rieß goes on loan.
