Krzysztof Piątek, a 31-year-old centre-forward, was given permission to leave Al-Duhail. After changes in league regulations, the Qatari club does not see a future with the Polish international, who was not called up for the training camp in the Netherlands. Piątek received permission to look for a new club. The change is related, among other things, to new regulations in the Qatar Stars League, reducing the foreign player limit from ten to five. The striker joined Al-Duhail in July 2025 and has a contract with the club until June 2028. He has 39 caps and 12 goals for Poland, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €7.00m.
