Reliable reporter Tom Bogert and the website 'Givemesport' have reported that Olympiacos has reached an agreement with Portland Timbers regarding the transfer of 25-year-old Norwegian winger Kristoffer Velde. The website revealed that the American club will pay a fee of 5 million dollars, equivalent to slightly more than 4.2 million euros. The deal is advantageous for Olympiacos, as they had spent nearly 4 million euros last summer to acquire Velde from Lech Poznan. Velde, who did not meet expectations at Olympiacos throughout the season, managed to score 6 goals and provide 2 assists in all competitions. He is currently preparing to travel to the USA to finalize his transfer to the Portland team. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is estimated to be €6.00 million.
